Linked To God
This will be a slightly longer activity the first time you use it, but once you have the linked chains, you can keep going back to them.
From the Bible:
"Come near to God, and he will come near to you".
From James Chapter 4 Verse 8 NIrV (First half)
"Anyone who leads a life of love is joined to God. And God is joined to them".
From 1 John Chapter 4 verse 16 NIrV (second half)
This simple activity was created to help us remember we are connected to God, and need to maintain that connection each day.
Make a paper chain of two rings with your name on one link and God's on the other (like the picture above).
- Thank God that you can be connected to Him - only because Jesus died for you (and rose from the dead!).
- Spend a moment in thankfulness for Jesus - tell Him you are thankful.
- Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you through the day - and help you to honour God in all you think, say and do.
Keep the chain where you can see it each day. Let it prompt you to speak to God more each day.
