From Hebrews Chapter 12 Verse 6
As you will know, a nail file smooths your nails into shape. It’s easier to do things when your nails aren't broken, rough or catching on anything, so it’s a useful tool!
A wood or metal work file can smooth out lumps & bumps to shape an object & make it beautiful and useable.
From the Bible
I know the plans I have for you,” announces the Lord. “I want you to enjoy success. I do not plan to harm you. I will give you hope for the years to come".
From Jeremiah chapter 29 verse 11.
Ponder:
God shapes us, because of His love for us. He works in our brokenness and sorts out the rough bits. He smooths out those things that get in the way of our relationship with Him and makes us beautiful and useable.
This is 'Sanctification': the process of being "set apart" for God’s special use and made holy.
Pray
File a nail or two & ask God to work in your brokenness & smooth out any rough bits.
Thank Him for the process of sanctification and being made holy - made possible because of Jesus.
Then ask Him for willingness to accept this process.
