Happy Christmas!

It’s once again time for the usual greetings and news. Apologies for this coming by email, but with the price of postage now, like many people we just can’t afford to send much through the post. We have however given a small donation to a local charity instead.

Our ministry work goes on at a pace - too much to write in a news letter, but the highlights were:

Serving at the Hand in Hand (Children’s Ministry) Conference in Birmingham

A short break in Norfolk in March - squeezed in between lots of meetings and training events.

Our final Spring Harvest (Kay discovered from an old prayer letter that it was her 33rd event, not her 31st as she originally thought!).

A brilliant conference with those who work or volunteer with Scripture union. Kay had been asked to speak on a couple of topics (not just additional needs!)

We were serving the The Keswick Convention again. We just love working with the team there - it was a great time - and with so many children on week three, they had to run the children’s programme twice!!

A photo taken in a beautiful courtyard. In the foreground is a light green iron table with patterned cutouts. On top of it is a pink thermos cup and a large print novel from torch trust. IN the distance is a wooden gate and beyond that a very tall willow tree

In November we went to the FIEC Leader’s Conference in Blackpool - a chance to take in rather than give out.

We’ve delivered multiple training sessions, done consultancy, and had way too many meetings! Kay has written lots of columns for Evangelicals now and other online articles too.

Steve continues as pastor for Children Worldwide, teaches guitar and has enjoyed playing in a barn dance band a few times this year. His health still remains steady which we are very thankful for.

Kay had a significant birthday this December and celebrated with a meal out with her brother and sister in law and Steve’s son and his wife. (She hates surprises, so asked Steve for the meal as a birthday present.) She’s bought a new powerchair as the other one was getting older and causing hip pain.

Health wise, Kay is seeing much higher pain levels and is starting to dislocate more joints (She’s always has this issue, but now there is more diversity in which joint goes now!)

A photo of Kay's new wheelchair, still with plastic and bubble wrap on parts of it.

She is determined to keep working, made much easier with the wheelchair, specialised pain relief and an amazing hubby. The DWP, with their recent rhetoric, would whole heartedly agree with Kay still working….

Check out our website for the full list of what we do. This is where we put any updates too.

The Pink Platypus with the paper chain at the top of this news letter is one of the new cartoon designs for the Theo character. He appears in the prayer activities Kay writes and puts on the website under ‘Pondering Platypus resources’. He’s not in all of them yet - but soon will be! In this picture he’s pointing to a plaster that will be used for a prayer activity for people who are ‘hurting’.

A cartoon of Theo the Pink Platypus. He has a plaster on his tummy - which he is pointing to with both hands.

We pray that this Christmas time will be all you need it to be.

With Love and Blessings, plus many thanks for your continued prayers

Kay and Steve
